i bought this little vintage quilt at the flea market last summer. some of those fabrics are killer!! i love how it is such a mish-mash of flowery and geometric, pretty and ugly. it all works somehow!

for bonus points, can anyone name the movie on the tv?????

i love my dishes!

one of my favorite things to find at the flea markets is a beautiful plate. i love the ones with flowers, and especially ones with birds or animals. they are a great thing to collect because they can be found quite cheap. i'm really not one for "sets"-i like to mix 'em up!

getting itchy for flea market season........

ayuh, it snowed!

this was saturday morning, while  snow was still falling! the town next to us reported 32"- it was very hard to tell how many inches we got because of the crazy drifting! i walked out yesterday and into a thigh high drift! brian had suggested i bring the snowshoes into the house on friday "because you might not be able to get to the garage", he said, , to which there was a bit of eye rolling, but he was right! i would never have gotten out to the chicken coop without them.

i balled up some yarn for a thrilling upcoming event!!! stay tuned!!!!!

i shoveled some serious tunnels! thankfully the snow was light and fluffy-perfect snow!

pyrex love

the first thing i ever bought at a flea market is that stripey pink pyrex bowl up there. i went with my friends roger and kelly. we would go on sunday mornings and then go back to their house and they would cook up a delicious breakfast feast!

i've been hooked ever since and am looking forward to those first early spring days when the snow has mostly melted and those hardy souls will set up their tables.  i'll be there!
